CERAMIC COATINGS
Non-wetting, ceramic-based protective coatings — both liquid and dry — engineered to prevent molten metal adhesion on ladles, thermocouple tubes, runners, and ferrous surfaces. Water-based formulations with controlled additives ensure smooth application and consistent film thickness.
Dry variants will ship water-blended at the customer site for cold-weather convenience, eliminating concerns about freeze damage during transport and storage. The Frankote line was developed specifically for applications where conventional coatings fail under sustained thermal cycling.
Boron nitride variants (BN400 series) deliver non-wetting performance in demanding environments where standard ceramic formulations reach their limits — particularly in aluminum refining applications with high superheat temperatures.
DIE RELEASE LUBRICANTS
Water-extendable die release lubricants for casting aluminum, brass, magnesium, and zinc alloys. Newest additions include ceramic-based formulations.
SHOT TIP LUBRICANTS
Dry, oil-based, and water-cleanable shot tip lubricants that enhance lubrication through the metal injection process while extending tip life. Inquire about ceramic shot tip sleeve lubricants.
SPECIALTY PRODUCTS
Purpose-built compounds for the specific challenges of die casting operations that fall outside the standard lubricant and coating categories. This line addresses the ancillary chemistry needs of a complete casting cell.
Anti-solder wax (ASW-80) removes metal deposits from die cavity surfaces without damaging tool steel — a recurring maintenance challenge on production dies that see extended runs. The flux (KAB 124) is blended for efficient cleaning with reduced refractory erosion, serving refining and metal treatment operations.
Ejector pin compound (#38) provides high-temperature protection for pins operating in extreme thermal and mechanical environments. #3100 Trim/Quenching Compound is a water-based formulation applied at the trim press to cool castings rapidly after ejection, reducing oxidation and improving dimensional stability in automated trim operations.
